Private Charters · Washington, DC
Washington's premier private yacht charter experience. From sunset cocktail cruises past the monuments to overnight escapes on the Chesapeake — every voyage is crafted around you.
The Vessel
One exceptional vessel. Three ways to experience her. Ethel Jane is a classic 33-foot Regal 3360 Window Express based at the Washington Channel — intimate enough for two, spacious enough for eight, and impeccably maintained for every occasion, and dressed for the occasion every time she leaves the dock.
Corporate events, proposals, holiday fireworks, Cherry Blossom season, multi-day Chesapeake voyages — if you have a vision, we'll build the experience around it. Every detail handled, nothing left to chance.

Guest Stories
Every detail was considered before we even thought to ask. The most effortless, beautiful day we have ever spent on the water.
We used Azure for a client event and the response was extraordinary. The crew's professionalism and the vessel's elegance spoke for themselves.
Waking up anchored in a private cove, coffee in hand, no other boats in sight — there simply are no words for how extraordinary that felt.

Owner & Operator · Iron Tide Charters
Captain Zak Wenning is a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Master Captain (100 Ton) and CPR/AED certified professional with a lifelong passion for boating and hospitality. As captain of the Ethel Jane — a beautifully maintained 33-foot Regal 3360 Window Express — he specializes in creating memorable private experiences on the Potomac.
Zak's love for the water began at age 11, operating boats and jet skis on the lakes of Michigan. What started as a childhood passion evolved into a professional calling. Today he brings more than a decade of boating experience and nearly 10 years navigating the Potomac — from the Georgetown Waterfront and The Wharf to National Harbor and Old Town Alexandria.
Beyond his maritime credentials, Zak has spent more than two decades as an award-winning video producer and editor for National Geographic and CuriosityStream. His background in storytelling and attention to detail shapes every charter — thoughtful touches and personalized service designed to create lasting memories.
"The best moments happen on the water. I look forward to welcoming you aboard the Ethel Jane."
— Captain Zak Wenning
